NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 1992 Porsche Carrera Passenger Cars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received a petition from a company requesting a decision that 1992 Porsche Carrera passenger cars, which do not meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, can be imported into the US due to their substantial similarity to US-certified vehicles and their ability to be modified to meet safety standards.
