NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming Alpina B5 Cars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received a petition requesting that nonconforming 2005-2007 Alpina B5 passenger cars manufactured before September 1, 2006, be eligible for importation into the United States due to their safety features, which meet or can be modified to meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
