Ford Motor Company Seeks Exemption from Notification and Remedy Requirements for Certain Model Year 2010 Vehicles

The Ford Motor Company has petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for an exemption from the notification and remedy requirements for certain model year 2010 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKT vehicles due to noncompliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 205, Glazing Materials, which was reported on November 12, 2009, and is now available for public comment on the Federal Docket Management System (FDMS) website at http://www.regulations.gov/.
