USPTO Seeks Input on International Harmonization of Substantive Patent Law

The USPTO is hosting a public roundtable to gather stakeholder comments on key patent examination-related issues, including the definition and scope of prior art, the grace period, and standards for assessing novelty and obviousness/inventive step, in an effort to harmonize substantive patent law internationally.
