Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection Proposes Extension of Temporary Provision for Electronic Fund Transfers

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection is proposing to extend a temporary provision that allows insured institutions to estimate certain pricing disclosures for electronic fund transfers until July 21, 2020, citing concerns that terminating the exception would negatively impact the ability of these institutions to send remittance transfers.
