Federal Communications Commission Reforms Lifeline Program for Broadband Expansion

The FCC has overhauled the Lifeline program, strengthening protections against waste and abuse, improving administration and consumer disclosures, and modernizing the program for broadband access, while also constraining growth to reduce burden on the Universal Service Fund.
