EPA Approves Baton Rouge Area for Ozone Standard Attainment
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confirmed that the Baton Rouge area in Louisiana has met the national air quality standard for ozone, based on three years of air quality monitoring data from 2006 to 2008. The EPA has suspended certain requirements for the area to submit a plan for improving air quality until it fails to meet the standard.
