EPA Proposes to Approve Revision to Illinois State Implementation Plan, Terminating NOX Budget Trading Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Illinois State Implementation Plan, which would eliminate the provisions of the Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Budget Trading Program for electric generating units, as these sources are now subject to newer rules addressing the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR).
