EPA Agrees to Settlement Over Delayed State Air Quality Plan Submissions
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has agreed to a settlement with the Wildearth Guardians over delayed State Implementation Plan (SIP) submissions from Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Utah, as required by the Clean Air Act. The agreement, which includes a consent decree, aims to address a lawsuit filed in 2009 and seeks to compel the EPA to take final action on the SIP submittals by a specified date.
