EPA Proposes New Mercury Emission Standards for Gold Mine Ore Processing

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to add the gold mine ore processing and production area source category to the list of regulated source categories due to high mercury emissions, and to establish national mercury emission standards based on the best performing facilities.
