EPA Issues Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Lead Emissions from Piston-Engine Aircraft Using Leaded Aviation Gasoline

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking public comment on a proposed rule to address lead emissions from piston-engine aircraft powered by leaded aviation gasoline, which contribute to a significant portion of the nation's lead emissions, and is responding to a 2006 petition from environmental group Friends of the Earth.
