EPA Finds Adequate Motor Vehicle Emissions Budgets for San Joaquin Valley, Inadequate Budgets for 2014

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the motor vehicle emissions budgets for the San Joaquin Valley, as part of the 2008 PM 2.5 Plan, are adequate for transportation conformity purposes for the years 2009 and 2012, but inadequate for the year 2014. This decision affects the use of these budgets by the San Joaquin Valley Metropolitan Planning Organizations and the U.S. Department of Transportation in future conformity determinations.
