EPA Proposes Approval of Texas' Request to Redesignate Beaumont-Port Arthur Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the State of Texas' request to redesignate the Beaumont-Port Arthur ozone nonattainment area to attainment of the 1997 8-hour ozone standard, and to determine that the area has attained the 1-hour ozone standard based on recent air quality monitoring data.
