EPA Expands List of Ozone-Depleting Substitutes Under Significant New Alternatives Policy Program

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has expanded the list of acceptable substitutes for ozone-depleting substances under its Significant New Alternatives Policy program, providing more options for the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector to replace HCFC-22 and HCFC-142b, which are set to be phased out by 2010.
