US Extends and Redesignates South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status

The US Department of Homeland Security has extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for South Sudan for 18 months, from May 3, 2013, to November 2, 2014, and redesignated the country for TPS, allowing additional individuals to obtain the status if they have been continuously residing in the US since January 9, 2013.
