EPA Lodges Proposed Consent Decree for Environmental Cleanup and Debt Collection

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has lodged a proposed consent decree with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, outlining a plan for the cleanup of contaminated sites and the collection of outstanding debts under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Federal Debt Collection Procedures Act (FDCPA).
