NIH Guidelines Update on Transgenic Rodent Research

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has proposed an update to its guidelines for research involving recombinant DNA molecules, allowing for the breeding of most transgenic rodents housed at biosafety level 1 conditions without prior registration with the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
