FDA Withdraws Hearing Requests for Oral Prescription Drugs Used to Relieve Cough, Cold, or Allergy Symptoms
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has withdrawn all outstanding hearing requests for oral prescription drugs used to relieve symptoms of cough, cold, or allergy. As a result, the sale and shipment of these products in interstate commerce are now prohibited, effective immediately, unless they are part of an approved new drug application or an over-the-counter product that complies with an applicable monograph.
