FDA Proposes to Remove Benzocaine from Over-the-Counter Weight Control Products
The FDA is proposing to reclassify benzocaine from its previous proposed monograph status to nonmonograph status for over-the-counter weight control use, citing insufficient data on its safety and effectiveness.
