The Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) is proposing to update its airworthiness directives for the ERJ 170 and ERJ 190 models to address potential engine failure risks and intermittent communication issues with the air management system. The proposed update would require replacing the air management system's controller processor module with a new one containing updated software and revising the flight manual to introduce new limitations for auxiliary power unit bleed.
