US Department of Transportation Proposes Rule to Harmonize Hazardous Materials Regulations for Combustible Liquids

The US Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has issued an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) to consider harmonizing the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) for the transportation of combustible liquids with the UN Recommendations, while maintaining safety standards, and address issues related to international commerce, domestic industry, and driver eligibility.
