Honeywell International, Inc. Issues Airworthiness Directive for Turbofan Engines

Honeywell International, Inc. has issued a new airworthiness directive for its ALF502L-2C; ALF502R-3; ALF502R-3A; ALF502R-5; LF507-1F; and LF507-1H turbofan engines, following reports of engine failures due to uncontained release of low-pressure turbine blades, and requires operational checks of the engine overspeed trip system to prevent damage to the airplane.
