Turbomeca S.A. Issues Airworthiness Directive for Arriel 2C1, 2C2, and 2S2 Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is adopting a new airworthiness directive requiring the replacement of digital engine control units (DECUs) on Turbomeca S.A. Arriel 2C1, 2C2, and 2S2 turboshaft engines to prevent loss of automatic control during flight, which could lead to an uncommanded engine shutdown or accident.
