The Boeing Company Revises Airworthiness Directive for 747 Series Airplanes

The Boeing Company is revising an earlier proposed airworthiness directive for its 747 series airplanes to require repetitive operational tests of the engine fuel suction feed and corrective actions if necessary, following reports of in-service occurrences on 737-400 airplanes. The revised directive aims to prevent dual engine flameout and forced landing in the event of total loss of fuel boost pumps.
