Medicare Program Updates Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System for FY 2027

The Medicare Program has released updates to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System for Federal fiscal year 2027, including changes to the wage index and requirements for therapy treatments and initial Interdisciplinary Team meetings, as well as updates to the IRF Quality Reporting Program and the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies Competitive Bidding Program.
