Forest Service Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Johnson Bar Fire Salvage Project

The US Forest Service is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement for the Johnson Bar Fire Salvage Project, which aims to harvest trees killed by the 2023 Johnson Bar Fire using ground-based and helicopter logging systems, with plans to replant with early seral species and decommission 3 miles of roads to reduce sediment impacts.
