Honey Packers and Importers Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Information Order; Assessment Rate Increase

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is proposing to increase the assessment rate for honey and honey products from $0.01 to $0.015 per pound over a two-year period, with the rate rising to $0.0125 per pound in 2015 and $0.015 per pound in 2016. The Honey Packers and Importers Board will use the additional funds to expand research and promotional efforts for the honey industry.
