U.S. Imposes Additional Sanctions on Russia Over Chemical and Biological Weapons Allegations

The U.S. government has imposed additional sanctions on Russia due to allegations that the country used chemical or biological weapons against its own nationals, in violation of international law, as mandated by the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991.
