NMFS Announces No New Fisheries for Sea Turtle Observer Requirement in 2012 Annual Determination

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) will not identify additional fisheries to observe for sea turtle interactions in 2012, following its authority under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Fisheries identified in the 2010 Annual Determination remain required to carry observers until 2014.
