U.S. Navy Granted Permission to Harass Marine Mammals for Oceanographic Studies
The U.S. Navy has been authorized to harass marine mammals in the southwest Indian Ocean as part of physical oceanographic studies, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
