Commerce Business Apps Challenge

A key mission of both the Department of Commerce (DOC) is to help U.S. businesses grow and create jobs. Recently, the White House launched the BusinessUSA Initiative (www.Business.USA.gov) to help further these goals. This notice announces the Commerce Business Apps Challenge (http://docbusinessapps.challenge.gov) which DOC is launching to encourage members of the public to develop, using at least one DOC data set, an application (Web, mobile, PC, etc.) that assists businesses and/or improves the service delivery of Business.USA.gov to the business community. Specifically, we're looking for innovative ways to use DOC and other federal data and program information to help businesses: Learn about and evaluate opportunities, both here in the U.S. and internationally; Access useful government services, data, and market information; Fund business activities; Support education and training, and Facilitate or accelerate the pursuit of operating and growing their business.

Takes of Marine Mammals Incidental to Specified Activities; Taking Marine Mammals Incidental to the City and Borough of Juneau's Seawalk Extension Project, Juneau, Alaska

NMFS has received a request from the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) for authorization to take marine mammals incidental to the Seawalk Extension Project in Juneau, Alaska (AK). Pursuant to the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), NMFS is requesting comments on its proposal to issue an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to incidentally take marine mammals during the specified activities. NMFS is also requesting comments on a possible one-time, 1-year renewal that could be issued under certain circumstances and if all requirements are met, as described in Request for Public Comments at the end of this notice. NMFS will consider public comments prior to making any final decision on the issuance of the requested MMPA authorization and agency responses will be summarized in the final notice of our decision.

Welded Stainless Steel Pressure Pipe From the Socialist Republic of Vietnam: Preliminary Results of and Intent To Rescind, in Part, Antidumping Duty Administrative Review; 2024-2025

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily determines that sales of welded stainless steel pressure pipe (stainless pressure pipe) from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam) were made at less than normal value (NV) during the period of review (POR) July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Additionally, Commerce intends to preliminarily rescind the review, in part, with respect to seven companies. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results of review.

Deep Seabed Mining: Notice of Receipt of Application for Deep Seabed Mining Exploration License and Announcement of Public Comment Period and Virtual Public Hearing

NOAA has received an application for a license to conduct seabed mining exploration activities that is fully compliant with the applicable information requirements of the Deep Seabed Hard Mineral Resources Act (DSHMRA or the Act) and the Act's implementing regulations. Fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone Off Alaska; Reallocation of Pacific Cod in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

NMFS is reallocating the projected unused amounts of Pacific cod from catcher vessels using trawl gear to catcher vessels less than 60 feet (18.3 m) length overall (LOA) using hook-and-line or pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to allow the 2026 total allowable catch (TAC) of Pacific cod in the BSAI to be harvested.
