Medicare Program to Host Town Hall Meeting on FY 2028 Add-On Payments for New Medical Services

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a virtual town hall meeting to discuss fiscal year 2028 applications for add-on payments for new medical services and technologies under the hospital inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS). Interested stakeholders will have the opportunity to share their comments and recommendations regarding whether the FY 2028 applications meet the substantial clinical improvement criterion.
