HUD Solicits Applications for Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program

The Emergency Homeowners' Loan program, originally authorized by the 1975 statute, has been reauthorized and revised by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which also allocated $1 billion in funding for this program. HUD is now soliciting applications from states with existing programs offering assistance similar to this program.
