HUD Submits Proposed Information Collection for HOPE for Homeowners Program to OMB for Public Comment
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has submitted a proposed information collection requirement to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for emergency review and approval, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The public is invited to comment on the proposal, which is related to the HOPE for Homeowners Act of 2008, a temporary FHA program that provides insurance for refinancing loans for distressed homeowners.
