NRC Issues Final Interim Staff Guidance for Review of Nuclear Power Plant Designs

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released its Final Interim Staff Guidance (ISG) for reviewing nuclear power plant designs using a gas turbine driven standby emergency alternating current power system, aimed at improving the review process for combined license (COL) and design certification (DC) applications for new nuclear reactors.
