US Patent and Trademark Office Publishes Examination Guidelines for Leahy-Smith America Invents Act Provisions

The US Patent and Trademark Office is releasing guidelines to help implement the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act, which changes the patent system to prioritize the first inventor to file, rather than the first to invent, and provides greater transparency and objectivity in patentability determinations.
