ARRL Petitions FCC to Reconsider Rulemaking Proceeding on Amateur Radio Vanity Call Signs

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) has filed a petition for reconsideration with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) arguing that recent rule changes allowing club stations to hold only one vanity call sign and limiting individuals to serving as trustee for one club can be evaded, and thus do not effectively prevent the hoarding of vanity call signs.
