FCC Announces Approval of Nationwide Public Safety Network

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has received approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to implement a nationwide, broadband, interoperable public safety network in the 700 MHz band for a period of three years, following an initial approval in 2011.
