FDA Denies Hearing on Ionizing Radiation for Food Control

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has rejected requests for a hearing on its final rule allowing the use of ionizing radiation to control microbial pathogens in sprouting seeds, citing lack of justification for a hearing or revocation of the regulation.
