FDA Amends Regulations to Allow Laser Labeling of Fresh Citrus Fruit

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is updating its regulations to allow the safe use of carbon dioxide lasers for labeling fresh citrus fruit, following a petition from Durand- Wayland, Inc. The FDA is making this change in response to a petition filed by the company.
