FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Pratt & Whitney Division Engines
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pratt & Whitney Division engines due to reports of tailpipe fires, loss of thrust control, and engine shutdowns caused by undetected pressure burner sensor deterioration. The proposed AD would require replacing the affected sensors to address the unsafe condition on these products.
