ExxonMobil Agrees to Pay $1 Billion to Settle Oil Spill Claims Under Clean Water Act and Oil Pollution Act

ExxonMobil has lodged a proposed joint stipulation, settlement agreement, order, and final judgment with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, agreeing to pay $1 billion to settle claims related to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill under the Clean Water Act and the Oil Pollution Act.
