National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month Observed in 2009

The United States government designated October 2009 as National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month to raise awareness about addiction recovery and provide support to those in recovery, as part of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's efforts to combat addiction and promote recovery.
