FHWA Announces Proposed FY 2010 STEP Implementation Strategy

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is proposing a FY 2010 implementation strategy for the Surface Transportation Environment and Planning Cooperative Research Program (STEP), which was established by Section 5207 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). The proposed strategy aims to carry out national research on planning, environment, and realty issues, and is anticipated to be funded by future transportation legislation.
