EPA Finds Adequate Vehicle Emission Budgets for Metropolitan Washington DC Area
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confirmed that the Motor Vehicle Emissions Budgets (MVEBs) submitted by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VADEQ), and the District of Columbia Department of the Environment (DCDOE) in 2007 are sufficient for transportation conformity purposes, requiring the area to use these budgets for future ozone standard determinations.
