U.S. Army Announces Final Environmental Impact Statement for Increased Aviation Assets in Alaska

The Department of the Army has released a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the deployment of additional aviation assets and training at various military installations in Alaska, which could involve up to 62 medium and heavy lift helicopters, 30 combat scout helicopters, and 24 attack helicopters, with a potential force of 1,200 to 2,850 Soldiers.
