NHTSA Requests Public Comment on Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard Exemption Petitions

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to reinstate a previously approved information collection, which will allow the agency to accept petitions for exemptions from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard. The reinstatement is expected to reduce the estimated annual burden hours by 266 hours.
