EPA Announces Plans to Develop Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) under Clean Water Act Section 303(d)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking public input on its plan to establish a Chesapeake Bay-wide TMDL for nutrients and sediment, following two consent decrees settling lawsuits with environmental groups and the American Canoe Association, Inc. and the American Littoral Society v. EPA, Civil No. 98-979-A (E.D. Va) and Kingman Park Civic Association, et al. v. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, et al., No. 1:98CV00758 (D.D.C.).
