EPA Proposes Determination of Attainment of 1997 8-Hour Ozone Standard for Imperial County, CA
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to officially declare that Imperial County, California has met the 1997 8-hour ozone air quality standard, following three years of monitoring data showing the area has consistently met the standard since 2006-2008. This determination would exempt the state from certain Clean Air Act requirements for a period of time as long as the area continues to meet the standard.
