NMFS Seeks Comments on Proposal to Take Marine Mammals During St. George Reef Light Station Restoration

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is seeking public comments on a proposal by the St. George Reef Lighthouse Preservation Society (SGRLPS) to incidentally take small numbers of marine mammals during restoration and maintenance work at the St. George Reef Light Station in Del Norte County, California. The activities, which include aircraft operations and lighthouse renovation, could potentially disturb marine mammals at nearby haul-out sites.
